Arts & Culture

In Pinedale, WY

For a tiny town, Pinedale has a lot going on. You can join in on the fun with summertime concerts in the park, adventure races, theater, and festivals year-round.

Swing by a single event in Pinedale and you will find yourself surrounded by a large pool of talented, committed and enthusiastic artists, performers, and creators. Some events are steeped in the rich history of this region, like the Green River Rendezvous, while others celebrate the current Pinedale culture, like the Wind River Brew Fest.

The Summer Soundcheck concert series brings the community and visitors together in the park. Numerous races and marathons challenge you to fire up your competitive spirit.

The phenomenal Pinedale Fine Arts Council works hard to bring you cultural events from around the world and the Pinedale Community Theatre presents jaw-dropping performances each year. Being a member of the audience for any of these productions is an absolute privilege and provides wonderful insight into the talent, dedication, and passion of Pinedale’s community members.

Green River Rendezvous

For four exciting days in mid-July, Pinedale honors the mountain men, explorers and Native Americans of this historical area with the annual Green River Rendezvous. The Rocky Mountain Fur Trade of the early 1800s brought trappers and explorers to the Green River Valley, and mountain men like Jim Bridger forged the path for the pioneer caravans of the Oregon Trail.

You can celebrate these early explorers’ impact on the history of westward expansion in the United States at the Rendezvous. From Museum of the Mountain Man activities to a show-stopping parade, to historical re-enactments and nightly rodeos, you’ll be happy to know those cultural events are in high supply … and so is the beer.
