Each February, Pinedale puts on a Winter Carnival‑a rowdy multi-day event on the (almost) backend of our long winter. Visitors and locals alike flock to the skijoring competition‑a wily western experience you have to see to believe. Brave competitors put their engineering and art skills to the test for the always-chaotic Cardboard Classic sled race, and the new Snow King and Queen start their reign at the Snow Ball, where live music and award-winning craft brews abound.

The Wyoming Airports Coalition is excited to introduce a new event focused on content for general aviation, operations, and maintenance personnel at Wyoming’s airports. This event will provide content that is designed for those that inspect and maintain our airports no matter the size of airport. The forum is specifically designed to ensure robust knowledge gain, networking opportunities, and information sharing.
Green River Rendezvous in Pinedale, WY
The Green River Rendezvous has been an annual event since the 1830’s. Mountain Men, Trappers, Travelers and Indians all gathered in a valley below the Green River and bartered, traded, sold and swapped various items such as skins, pelts, guns, jewelry and whatever else they needed. The Rendezvous lasted anywhere from a few days to several months and was a time for getting new supplies, renewing acquaintances with old friends, story swapping, drinking and general rowdiness.
